Our Generation is a series created between late 2024 and late 2025. As one of my earlier bodies of work, it has a strong realist approach. The series is based on my observations of people my age and the generation I belong to.

Growing up, we often heard phrases such as "You are the flowers of the nation," words that carried both praise and expectations for our future. Rather than responding to these ideas with judgment, this series aims to document my generation in a quiet, documentary-like way.

During the making of these works, I moved from Beijing to Florence to continue my studies. Some of the paintings are based on experiences and observations from my life in Beijing, while others draw from Prato's Chinese community near Florence. Together, they reflect different moments and places that have shaped my understanding of my generation.
